The British Consulate General in Jerusalem announces the launch of a competition on its web site. Members of the public are encouraged to participate in the competition.

UK considers that Israeli settlements building anywhere in the Occupied Palestinian Territories is illegal under international law. This has been our consistent position and we will continue to raise this with the Israeli government.

The British Government is introducing biometric data collection (fingerscans) as part of a world-wide biometric identification process, designed to protect an individual’s identity, facilitate future entry to the UK and to combat visa fraud and abuse of the UK’s immigration and asylum systems. All visa applications must now be made online at Visa4UK website.
